St. Luke's is directing people who need an evaluation in person to the St. Luke's Respiratory Clinic, at their Miller Creek location in Hermantown.

Dr. Nick Van Deelen, Chief Medical Officer for St. Luke's, explained more. "This is a clinic we hope will allow patients who have worked through our nurse hotline or accessed e-care appointment, or have contacted primary, and stil need evaluation to come. This will be a place for them to go. It is our attempt to protect other clinics and offices in our system, so that patients who are particularly vulnerable can avoid being at risk."

Dr. Van Deelen also said employees at St .Luke's who have direct patient care will be wearing masks now. Other employees will be encouraged to wear masks, like the cloth kind or the ones made in-house.

Q-Care sites have been closed. And changes are coming to urgent care sites.

Essentia posted on Facebook that they will be screening people entering their hospitals, and taking their temperatures.

When asked about COVID-19 patients, doctors from both St .Luke's and Essentia said most people are experiencing mild symptoms. But there are some that are critically ill.

They can work on creating more ICU rooms, but St. Luke's said they have a fixed number of ventilators.

The testing process has expanded some. Dr. Rajesh Prabhu, an infectious disease specialist from Essentia said in general, it's the same, with priority for ill health care workers and their household contacts, hospitalized patients, people who live or work in nursing 火红彩票代理s, diaylsis units, prisons, and other congregate settings.

But the groups have expanded to include ILL PEOPLE who ALSO meet these conditions:

            1) People over the age of 65, because you have a higher risk of having a more severe case

            2) People with underlying health conditions

            3) First responders who provide medical assistance

            4) Child care providers

            5) Dialysis patients

            6) Health care workers taking care of immunosuppressed patients

They'll be following the recommendations from the health department.

If you have symptoms, you're supposed to call your doctor and find out the next steps. Most people are recovering at 火红彩票代理.

Both hospitals hope to have in-house testing, eventually.
